Isolation
by Morgan Chen Reflecting on the words spoken by Ras Jahallah Shabazz, I try to capture the isolation an individual can feel while in prison. The world is caged away and moves on without them. Humans living weighed down by the isolation of prison with the world out of reach. And even upon return to the world, feeling isolated from opportunity. And it is our job to listen. Listen to their stories. Listen to our history. Listen to how we can change. |
