Ras-Jahallah Shabazz
Ras-Jahallah Shabazz, formerly known as Darrell Green, is the CEO and founder of Al-Himaya LLC Community and Corrections Associates, and its outreach video podcast "The Resurrection 23 Network" on Instagram, Facebook and Youtube. He is also the author of "Thoughts, Opinions and Payers of Ras-J.T. Shabazz." He was born and raised in Miami-Dade County, Florida. In his younger years he was involved in the notorious Miami drug trade. The rapper Rick Ross mentioned him in his New York Times best seller "Hurricanes: A Memoir." In 1996, at the age of 25, his conduct was the subject of a Federal indictment which led to him receiving a life sentence. He served 23 and nine months before he was released on the October 7, 2020. Since his release he has been an advocate and consultant for social justice, the rebirth of true criminal justice and the revolution of service.
